Renée Fleming This one-hour special, designed for stations to use over July 4th weekend, features a rare, personal conversation with one of the world’s leading musical performers, Renée Fleming, aka “The Voice.” Her latest song collection, Haunted Heart, takes listeners into new musical territory — her “road not taken.” WNYC’s John Schaefer hosts this wide-ranging program of music and conversation, including exclusive in-studio performances covering Fleming’s favorites, from Joni Mitchell’s 1971 album, Blue, to jazz standards like “Love for Sale.” In a radio exclusive, we bring you never-heard before archival performances from Fleming’s early days as a young college student.

* Perfect for July 4th holiday programming and designed for all station formats. Excellent companion to Prairie Home Companion, From the Top, or as a stand-alone special for news stations

* Satellite feeds (stereo channel A68.1): Monday, 6/20 at 12:00 ET, Tuesday, 6/21 at 18:00 ET, Wednesday, 6/22 at 10:00 ET

* Full program available for download on PRX the week of June 15: search “Fleming”.

* Free to all public radio stations through the end of 2005
